Who I am
I am an independent education consultant with over 25 years experience in the field of education. I have worked in schools in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Since 2003 I have been part of the International Baccalaureate Educator Network, serving in roles such as school visit team leader, workshop facilitator, field representative, and consultant for candidate schools.
I have spent almost two decades in the classroom, teaching middle and high school Mathematics, Science, and Design. I have also held various mid and senior level leadership roles in schools, from Curriculum Coordinator to Assistant Head of School in a large international school. In this role I was responsible for cross-sectional departments, whole school alignment of teaching and learning, and faculty professional development.
As a consultant, I now work with schools to improve their approaches to teaching and learning, with a focus on meaningful inquiry-driven and concept-based learning. I provide training, individual coaching, curriculum development, and program implementation support.
All my life I’ve had a passion for Lego. I now use Lego in my workshops as a learning tool, along with other games and puzzles. I love the joy they bring, not only to kids, but also to adult learning.
I hold certifications in Cognitive Coaching and as a Concept Based Curriculum & Instruction trainer.
